I've just completed LEJOG on my second attempt! I attempted it in May but had to pull out due to knee problems.
My knee was better this time around and I did a lot more training before the ride. I did it in 10 days solo unsupported.
The weather was fantastic apart from Day 1 in Cornwall where it absolutely poured, I thought if I can survive that I can definitely do the
whole thing! I had tail winds all the way and even though the days were short I had no problems getting the miles in

10 day LEJOG completed - take 2
I feel sure that the genius that did this, didn't even feel a thud as he drove by.

Well done Pat.
The satisfaction must be immense.

It is better to travel than to arrive.

Well done sir! I think it takes more nerve to undertake a second attempt than it does for a first attempt.

BRILLIANT!!! Well done Pat really pleased for you, I remember how gutted you were having to pull out of the first ride.
The difference between try and triumph is a little umph

Thanks! Yes I was gutted but I learned a lot from the first attempt. I'm going to do it again next year, maybe the other way.

Well done,
I'm not sure I'd have been keen enough to go back and have another go the same year. Like you I did solo unsupported, it can get quite lonely out there on the road.
