Good B&B in Fort William Under £65 per night

Post by JulesDawes »

As title says really, looking for accommodation for my wife and son for may 28th and may 29th so they can join me to climb Nevis on my JOGLE. Looking for a good quality place, friendly, and not too far from Fort William and the beginning of the Nevis trail. Does such a place exist? cheaper the better, but £130 limit for the two nights.

Hi jules,

There is now a Travelodge in the centre of Fort William, opened last year I do believe, I have just looked on their site and a double room is costing £46 per night, they are not top of the range but its a bed in a nice clean room.

The Premier Inn in Fort William is nice, usually around that price.

Cheap, clean, warm and bike friendly. It's at Corpach about 5 miles west of Fort William
Percussive maintainance, if it don't fit, hit it with the hammer.

I stayed at the Distillery Guest House in Fort William on the way through on LEJOG in 2009 and found it very nice - they do complementary apres-arrival whisky & shortbread for guests.

I don't know if they are in your price range - a Google search suggests they may be (I didn't sort out the accommodation so have no idea what we were being charged there)

(BTW the locator on Google maps is slightly out of place - the actual location is on North Road, just over the river from where it is shown on the map.)

Here's another thought if you can get to the Great Glen hostel between Loch Lochy and Loch Oich.

I'll try and find the link later but food's calling :D at the moment

Suitable fed and watered :D

Very nice and a good well stocked shop.

I stopped in the great glenn hostel when I did my http://caledoniancanal.wordpress.com/ which is good (but away from most facilities)

But stayed at the syh in Fort William when I did my http://www.nigelend2end.co.uk - basic, cheap, central but most importantly for me had vacancies on a bh weekend - phew!! Great Italian restaurant below it (The Stables I think) also serve breakfast
