What's the car parking like there, both for participators and spectators?

Car parking is good and free right next to the cycle club house. If you get there early ~10:00am then you will have a choice of spaces.
Re: Hillingdon 1 - BHPC first race
this has been a good event in previous years and is well worth going to.

Here is the current world HPV champion making it look rather easy at Hillingdon:

Holding 38? On the speedo - is that is real units or short miles?
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

Re: Hillingdon 1 - BHPC first race
This rider and HPV averaged 34.7 mph for a 30 min race around a twisty track at Hillingdon with a slight hill. So to hit 38mph for large parts of the track was easily feasible. This would be real mph.
The same rider last year at Sloten Park, Amsterdam rode at a faster average speed for 6 hours than Bradley Wiggins did for his 1 hour world record.
Spectators and riders at all the BHPC races are very welcome.

Nice work - I'm just wondering what happens when he stops (I haven't watched all that much of the video.
That would be a fun commute mobile.

Just watch the last few seconds of the video - he lowers a stand and grinds to a halt without any drama.
I cycled over to watch the races but got there just as the last race was starting.
I saw Mike Burrows but he was lying on the grass having a nasty patch of gravel rash on his hip being treated - not a good time to have a chat!

Hmm, ok for a race machine, not great for road use...

@Bob completely correct. Or to put your point another way. These cycles can not be used on the road because of motor vehicles. Ride one of these on a windy day with a lorry doing a punishment pass and you would be toast. Not the fault of HPVs but with our obsession with motor vehicles.

Thanks for the link - the relative speeds can also be appreciated here. Slash + Beano is a finely tuned man machine combination - I've often wondered what the visibility would be like under a bubble canopy - there's an exterior view here taken at Hillindon this year plus an interior from 2012 World Championships (with silvered canopy) attached.
