I would sell the existing wheel and buy a 'proper' rear wheel.

Mine is actually conventionally dished, and it fits fine.
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

There's plenty there for me to consider. I'm impressed with the amount of information provided. I need to make a decision soon, but I am very optimistic.
