On another thread, Upwrong suggests that the Nazca Gaucho is a reasonably manageable machine if you are "tall enough". I'm wondering what the factors are that make anyone tall enough for a 2 x 26"/700c bike?
Is it simply one's standing height, or purely inside leg measurement? Does hip flexibility make a difference? Does the lower back play a part? What about the shape of the seat pad? Seat inclination? Ankle flexibility? Particular muscle groups?
Of course, the only way of knowing if a particular machine is manageable (in terms of getting ones feet down effectively) is to ride it. And, if it works for you, none of these questions need answering. But, I'm just opening a discussion to hear peoples' thoughts.
How tall is "tall enough"?
Re: How tall is "tall enough"?
You are right about getting one's feet down.
This is the key and one of the reasons so many designs have a smaller front wheel
Of course the other extreme is my Hurricane where you can put a hand down!
