Hi all just done my first 1.5 mile spin on a KMX Cobra.
Loved it and averaged about 10mph which given I was getting used to the trike and the bar end shifters I am happy enough with.
One question ... I seem to veer slightly as I pedal...is this likely to be gripping the steering too tightly, lack of smooth pedalling or is it just a case of getting used to the trike?
Thanks
MDB

Caused by two things:
Body movement
Flex of the frame as you apply pressure to the pedals
Google "Pedal Steer" and there is a lot of advice and explanations
As you become more experienced it subsides, although with some machines it will always be present to a small extent
Re: New to Trike...steering question
Pedal steer is something you will get used to. I found that over time I was making subtle adjustments to the pressure on my handle bars to compensate.
Training yourself to pedal in circles also helps.

Re: New to Trike...steering question
Trikes don't turn the way you'd expect when you shift your weight on one.
If you lean left then the trike will try and turn right and vice-versa.
So if you rock when you pedal then the trike will try to snake out from under you.
Also if your arms aren't relaxed any movement in your shoulders will just magnify the snake.
