Lon Las Cymru on a trike?

Looking at a potential challenge and I like the long distance ride through Wales but does anyone know of any obstructions I might encounter on a trike. I know that the route has some severe climbs but am I likely to be meet with narrow sections which will prohibit progress on an Ice TNT or Adventure?

I’ve done the wild Wales Challenge on a trike before.

Plenty of narrow bits of road, but nothing antintrike.

Can’t speak for any non-road routes there though.

Plenty of barriers on the Taff Trail which would impede progress. If you start from Chepstow you might have more luck.

In the N the Mawddach trail (Dolgellau-Barmouth) has some gates but I think most or all have now been modified to accept wider stuff.
Though I cannot say for sure whether your trike will pass them without lifting, i would guess it would.

Caernarfon to Porthmadog cycle trail used to have a few full kissing gate type barriers that would require lifting.

The hilly and, at times, very narrow Meirionnydd road sections are often between stone walls. They make one invisible (on recumbent) to oncoming vehicles.
Your ears are your best friend here! On a bike one can often pull right in tight, but on a trike that is obviously not possible.
I would suggest a high flag for those sections as local drivers look for car roofs etc.
Those same sections are avoidable on the lower roads but the quiet wild beauty of the hills is passed by.

Did it a few years ago and the only section I think you’ll have problems with if you start in Chepstow (which is the better route in my opinion!) is the off road trail sections around Caernarfon.
