Given the remarkedly short wheelbase, I thought Miss Evelyn Hamilton does rather well.

I also recall Mr Burrows advising that a quick, deliberate wobble as you set off encourages 'calibration' of the rider's responses to the steering characteristics of the particular machine...

Not only a short wheelbase, the rider seems placed very high compared with modern recumbents. She keeps on smiling though, perhaps it's an occupational hazard on recumbents, from whatever era!

Yes, position seemed similar to my KingCycle but higher.
