I'd love to try one.
Does it live up to your expectations?

Re: Pictures of your recumbent
This is my second 'bent, my first being an Optima Baron. The Baron was fun, but a viscous learning curve, and I never felt 100% secure on it - took me a month to attempt taking a hand off the tiller!
The metabike on the other hand was a pleasure to ride from the start (I've done 5 rides so far). It's very stable, I can ride one handed, it is fast - averaging 20mph on my commute, and can actually go up hills (as much as Suffolk has hills), so not bad so far! I'm running 26" wheels at present, but may well go to 700's in the future. Have also no fitted a ventisit pad, and need some mudguards after my wet commute this morning.
Cheers.

Re: Pictures of your recumbent
It's a good looking bike (but I'm biased of course). Glad you are getting on with it.

Is that a lap belt or a really big bum bag?
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.

I hadn't spotted the wide set blinky...

I suspect there's an offside one too. Also the front mech post extension: foot flash must be impressive?

Re: Pictures of your recumbent
I suspect that it's high enough to avoid most of the foot flash - I get flash from the sides of my light, but it's actually more disturbing at the sides when on narrow paths, as I alternately eclipse the light to each side...
