A heel strap might be craftable... it's not as if it has to be done up in a rush is it...

We go there quite a bit as it's local. We live about 10 miles away on the opposite coast in Pendeen. There's a short coastal cycle path from Penzance through to Marazion which is beautiful if quick ride.

The tandem is very stable and easy to handle at slow speeds uphill. As for quickness, well that largely depends on how hard you pedal it , but it seems pretty efficient on the flat, and downhill it's like a rocket! We love it
