Re: Up for a ride?
OK, apologies - between being laid low last week with a cold, and working away this week, there's been no time.
Unless we've got a good reason to delay, I'd suggest we aim for 09.00 at Angel's Cafe, Mildenhall, Sunday morning. Wrap up well though !!! I don't think Sunday's going to have us break any speed records, but I'd be a happy man if we can just take a ride out and get back in time for a frothy coffee and a slice of hot, buttered toast.

See you there !

POSTPONED: Sorry chaps, looks like the cold and the sleet will make tomorrow morning miserable.
Re: Up for a ride?
Thinking about getting a loaded brownie next Sunday, anyone interested?

Yeah ! ......but the Udder Room is now closed on Sundays.
I've found a recipe ......but I'm an awful cook.
As I'm decorating the spare room, my daughter owes me a favour
Where d'you want to meet, and what time ?

Re: Up for a ride?
Excited you're up for the ride, shame about the Udder Room. Looks like me must find another meeting place, preferably with goodies. Any suggestions, I'm free all day and not opposed to anything.
We could meet in Newmarket for a change or the gas station in Kentford for old times sake. Do a Bury for breakfast run or head out to Ely, or the Denver Complex, or Five miles from anywhere...
The list goes on and on. What would you prefer?
I'll message Dave and Brian.

Re: Up for a ride?
I may join you.
I've been off the trike for most of the summer, so only now starting to get fit again.
So I wont be fast up hill, but a gentle run would be fun.

Yes and please Tigerbiten, don't worry about the riding fitness I think Brian is the only one of us in hill shape. I'll have a map and meet up details by the end of the day.

Re: Up for a ride?
Lights out and away we go!
Back to the same ole bad habits, we're off again this Sunday.
Show time will be 0830 for a 0900 push off.
I've been informed by Brian there is ample free parking at the starting point listed on the ride directions.
Our mid ride stop appears to be Saffron Bicicletta con cafe, a place most of us have beentaling about riding to for quite a while. Nice choice there Brian.
https://www.biciclettavelo.com/
Meeting point will be inside 'the Royston' - a Wyevale Garden Centre. This is on the outskirts of Melbourn village, entrance is off Cambridge Road - opposite Wrights Mower centre. Once inside the garden centre look for the garden centre cafe . Postcode is SG8 6RA
As always all are welcome and please feel free to contact me for any question or concerns. There may be a few minor changes in route on the day but that will be down to our ride host Brian. Hope to see you all there.

Re: Up for a ride?
Parking update:
The cafe - not open until 10:30am
Car parking - this will have to be nearby (100 meters) at Dunsbridge Turnpike outside the Green Man pub
All other details remain the same to avoid confusing people - we can still meet outside the gates of the Wayvale garden centre with our bikes and at the same time i.e. 8:30 for 9:00am depart.
Sorry for not checking the Garden centre cafe opening times before.

Re: Up for a ride?
Thanks to all for a good day out - cracking choice for destination, and a fine route. Tea loaf whilst watching a bi-plane land, anyone ?
I did get at least one photo whilst riding that wasn't blurred - and it'll do nicely as a reminder for those cold and wet winter days that'll soon be here.
