We've just returned from a long distance tour on our recumbents and need to replace the chains. We would like replace them with chain in one length, does anyone know if there is somewhere that sells chain by the meter off a reel?

No, but chains do connect end to end quite happily. And you don't need to hunt as far to find the split link either....

You could always go into Halfords and ask for a recumbent chain 360 links long.
And then try not to crack up when they hunt for it ,........... :D

I'm not sure what make or model you ride but ICE in Falmouth sell the correct length of chain for a trike for similar price as a standard chain.
