1990s Carrera Hybrid Frame & Fork, Reynolds 525, 22.5" (56.5cm)

Postby Zanda » 14 Aug 2019, 2:41pm

A vintage hybrid bike frame and fork made with Reynolds 525 butted steel tubing.

I bought this as a complete bike and I am selling the frameset because it is slightly too large for me. The previous owner rode the bike occasionally then garage-stored it for a number of years. I have stored it indoors. Generally very good condition. Paintwork is original. BB threads are clean and good.

It is made for 700c wheels and cantilever brakes. It may also take vee brakes. Clearance for wide tyres and mudguards.

Fork has double eyelets for guards and front rack. Additionally, there are bosses half way up the fork. Frame has bosses for two bottle cages.

Would you mind measuring both front and rear cantilever bosses, centre to centre ? Reason being wanting to ascertain whether it is V brake compatible, ie ~75-80mm. Late 80s and early 90s frames could possibly have narrower ~ 65ish mm old skool canti bosses?
