Paul Donohue 531 st 26" wheeled touring frame

Postby PhilD28 » 19 Jun 2020, 2:26pm

Paul Donohue 531st touring frame 19.1/2" seat tube 21" top tube, standard quill stem steerer, canti bosses, built for 26" (559mm) wheels. Horizontal dropouts so could be used for derailleur, hub gear or fixed wheel, takes 27.0mm seat post as is normal for 531st seat tubes.
Mostly good paintwork but a few minor rust spots and blisters as is normal for a frame used year round, no headset but a 128mm bb (very smooth) is currently installed. Rear dropout spacing is 135mm.It doesn't need a respray and it looks very good generally.
This frame was custom built for my wife in the late 90's by Paul, a very good frame builder from Bishop Auckland. She is 5'5" tall and it was built for drop bar general touring, including cycle camping which we used it for extensively. It rides very well loaded or unloaded.
26" wheels look and ride perfectly in frames this size with no toe overlap.

Would prefer collection near Barnard Castle but happy to post at your expense (I will also need to source a box so there may be a little delay)
£125 no offers. More photo's available to anyone interested.

I'm having a clearout and have a few frames (Dave Yates Hosteller and Thorn Nomad) and a complete Roberts roughstuff bike all ready to go if anyone is interested. Nomad now sold.
