colnago international split - inc. Strada chainset

Postby willr » 31 Jul 2020, 7:57pm

I stripped down a colnago international that had been built with a mix of new/old components. I'm keeping the new, but thought I'd see if there was any interest in the old.

Colnago International frameset
Seattube is 21.5" c2c. Late '80s I guess. Italian BB thread (2 right hand threads and a bit bigger diameter.)
Chrome driveside chainstay, Chrome forks, Colnago dropouts, "Colnago" written at top of seat stays, club cut out on BB and downtube/headtube lug.
Decals are peeling, Chrome is a bit pitted and there is some lumpiness on the top of the seat tube, but not visible except close up. I suspect this was because the seat post was seized - I had to saw it out.
Skf BB and edco competition headset included - both a bit battered but functional.
£150

700c wheels
Campag hubs on Mavic MA40s. Sachs 6spd freewheel 13-21. True, smooth, and signs of fresh grease. Wearing worn out gran Prix 4000s that I'll leave on to protect the rims. £60

campag chainset
Colnago 52 tooth with etched/pantographed writing, campag 42 tooth ring. Says Strada on the chainset, there is a crack on the left hand crank, but I believe it has been ridden like that for a while. £50

campag friction shifter
Left hand downtube shifter.
Decent nick. £10

Not too sure on the value of these things so feel free to make me an offer. If you take the lot I'll pay the postage.

Good point, it's a left hand downtube shifter, I'll amend the post.
