I have a well used (and it shows - this isn't a pristine bike!) Planet X London Rd frame and forks with most of the parts needed for a complete bike that needs to go to free up space in the garage. You'll just need wheels, cassette and saddle.
Frame size is medium (54cm virtual top tube) and stem is 110mm.
The good:
- 11 speed SRAM Rival groupset (compact 37/50)
- Almost new Stronglight Zircal outer chain ring / excellent condition Stronglight CT2 inner
- Avid BB7 disc brake calipers (these have now been sold separately)
The not so good (see pictures)
- Lots of signs of wear including corrosion on the brake calipers, cable rub and residue from the duct tape covered hanger I used to hang it from in my garage.
- There's a crack the the paint at the weld at the top of the seat tube. There's no obvious evidence that it's anything more than a crack in the paint, but you should satisfy yourself that it's safe before riding. I rode it for months (years possibly) after the paint crack appeared and it hasn't changed at all.
- The right shifter shifts just fine, but something has broken inside that means it doesn't spring back and stay with the brake lever. It's been solved by Heath Robinson using an elastic band. I don't know if this is fixable or not, but it does still shift so it doesn't need replaced in order for the bike to be used.
- would benefit from new cables all round
So it's far from perfect, but would make a really cheap cyclo-cross, gravel or commuting/pub bike, particularly if you have a spare set of wheels already.
This is collection only from near Bolton (BL53DD).
