I'm after buying at a fair price some Record Brakes 70s to 80s for a restoration.

^^^ those are allen key fitting. 1970s would be nut fitting, well into the 80s too.

My early 80s bike is fitted with Record A/K nuts.

The problem with common sense is that it's not that common .....
Highest gear, 80.74. Lowest gear, 28.44. 11-32, 9 speed Cassette. Single ring chainsets rule !
