I've decided to keep this lot, sorry about that !

Hello all,

I was on the verge of taking this lot to the dump but thought it might be a good idea to see if anyone would want it first.

Collect only from Maidenhead Berks. I struggle with post offices !

This is the stuff...

Frame, is a 25" steel. Not sure of origin, it was a recent e-bay purchase. It has been badly painted, not be me I hasten to add ! I have no idea how it rides..... but it is free!

The wheels are rather nice 700c alloy items, fairly true and until today were on another old racer I have. Fitted with a 5 speed Mallard freewheel

And then there is this stuff, all taken off another old racer I'm now doing up, fitting MTB gearing etc to !
Image

Weinmann type 500 calipers with barely worn fibrax blocks. Nice and shiny shiny !
Image

Raleigh "custom" crankset, bb axle, cups, bearing and bolts. It is a 52/42

Alloy handlebars with quill stem fitted with Weinmann duel levers

Simplex rear, front deraileurs and shifters

Hi Is there any chance you could post the bits at all, I could probably use most of those bits on a bike I'm trying to get back to a working state.

Happy to pay postage costs .

Cheers
Kit :)

I'd don't drive so to post that lot would be tricky.

Your "Raleigh" chainset is in fact an SR (Sakae Ringyo) Super Custom which is of better-than-average quality. It was supplied with other higher-end brands of bike including my own 1984 Holdsworth Mistral tourer built with Reynolds 531ST tubing throughout.
If you weren't at the other end of the country, I'd be round there in a shot!

If it helps, a courier company or Royal Mail will collect from your home, once you've packaged it up, although you'll need a cardboard box big enough for the frame, but I see quite few on ebay

Hi Colin,

Hope you're doing ok and haven't had any more shocks!

Could you let me know the serial number of that frame - assuming you haven't yet dumped it. I think I might know what it is.

Cheers,

Rick

I had another two zaps back at the end of April as a result of VF arrests. I've been on Amiodarone since :?

As for the frame, i'll have a look tomorrow to see if the number is visible under the hand paint.

I hoping it is an antiques roadshow type thing but knowing my luck it will be a gas pipe special.
