If anybody has got any of those Simon Legg banknotes feeding the wallet moths or next to the gozunder, they will cease to be legal tender at the end of June. (This is not an April fool joke. :mrgreen: )

It seems that in recent years, the sheer ease of photocopying/ scanning etc has made the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street less able to deal with copying of banknotes (as opposed to forgery.) On a junior CID course a long time ago, we had a talk about forgery from an enforcement chap at the BofE and in those days they even took a dim view of tourist souvenirs like teatowels having reproductions of £££.
