Lynskey Ti Sportive - 56cm Sram Red

Postby d70ar9 » 8 Sep 2017, 10:18am

I am selling my beloved Lynskey Ti Sportive (Planet X), the bike has been an absolute dream to ride and is in fantastic condition. It is one of the rare Planet X bikes built by Lynskey so has made in Tennessee stickers and Lynskey decals. The wheels are in fantastic condition and were only upgraded a few months ago. It is super comfortable to ride and can be set with full guards for winter riding (as shown in the photos). I’m 6ft but the bike would fit anyone in the 5ft 10 to 6ft 2 range.

I am prepared to consider a number of different sale options for the bike.

1 – Complete Bike - £1555
2 – Rolling Frameset (Frame, Forks, Headset, Wheels, Tyres, Guards) - £1150
3 – Frameset - £875
4 - Wheels and Tyres - £275

Collection SW London preferred but could post at buyers expense

Spec as follows

Frame: Planet X Ti Sportive made by Lynskey (56m)
Fork: Carbon Enigma Etape Fork

Thanks, It's a bit of a heartbreak to sell it but unfortunately it's got to go.

Hopefully it finds a good home and is a lovely ride for someone for many years!

Regarding Tyre clearances

23c is the max with guards and then 25c without

Lynskey quotes the maximum tyre width as 28c without mudguards.

Superb frame/bike these .I have had one a while now.Built it up myself with chosen parts. Rides like a dream ,and are pretty well bomb proof with regards winter riding.Best of luck with sale.

That might be on the current model, on the one they made in conjunction with Planet X the max is definitely 25c without guards

I see - mine's a couple of years old but didn't realise there were differences in the Planet X version. Nevertheless, it's a superb bike at a fair price - I'd never sell mine and I'm surprised it hasn't been snapped up. GLWS.

Thanks - I'm kind of hoping I don't sell it. I've got my Sunday best (Scott Addict Team Issue) up for sale elsewhere and would like it to go so I can keep the Ti. Unfortunately, space and finances mean I need to sell one of them.

I've owned the frame from new and still have the receipt from 2010. All of the components have been added at various stages, the wheels for example are new this year as are the chain and cassette

Planet X sold the frame with a lifetime guarantee however I'm pretty sure that would only be valid for me as the original purchaser.
