Hirame bike frame 54cm with some components

Postby Dazzlin » 15 Oct 2017, 6:51pm

Looking to sell a 1986 Hirame bike, It was made in 1986 ( date stamped) with Ishiwata 022 tubing ,it is gold and chrome rear triangle and forks.
The bike still has original Tange headset and bottom bracket, the bike was advertised on another forum I'm on but so many people were messing me around.
Is this something I can put on here,a frame and forks just recently sold for £300 mine has a few more parts, these are rare frames as only imported for a few years in the 80's.

Size is 54 cm traditional geometry, very lively google 'hirame bikes pics show my colour gold and chrome.
A frame alone sold for £300 last week on ebay, I paid 400 for it last Feb frome a good bike shop in Stevenage sadly now shut.
It is not being used and need to sell to buy a Kinesis Aethein evo for next spring so a nice build over the winter.

So is this a complete bike or just the frame?
If complete bike some details of the components would be useful.

Sorry for not posting replies we've had Pc troubles, the Hirame bike has a polished stronglite chainset- Weinmann type 500 brakes-Suntour vx rear mech. Shimano 105 front mech-Weinmann levers- SR stem-SR Sakae bars.
This was all on the bike when I purchased it, I was looking to sell just the frame but will sell complete for £340
It rides lovely as the frame and forks are so light.

I Have pics ,how do you upload to this forum as they are in our pictures file, can email them, this IS a genuine sale , also have a 1936 Carpenter track frame/forks with Chater Lea b/b to sell, in process of getting repainted to original colours.
I collect old frames the more unusual types, just picked up a Norman Invader frame with 531c which is almost ready as a single speed bike.

If I may chip in, there is currently a Hirame 022 frame for sale on eBay with a BIN price of £299 or offer. It almost certainly won’t sell for £299 and Personally I would be surprised if it sold for anything near that price.
With frames from this period condition is everything, and that one looks very good from what I can see.
As you are not able to show pictures of yours it’s impossible to judge its worth, but it almost certainly is worth more than £40.
I had a Hirame frame bought new by me in the 80’s, with chrome forks and chainstay, from what I can remember, finished in metallic blue. It wasn’t a bad frame but to be honest I bought it because it was cheap, it rode well enough though.

How do I upload pics onto this site ,have tried but do not go on.
A wreck of a Hirame frame with standard Hi-ten tube sold 4 months ago in Leighton buzzard for £105.
It had more rust than metallic red paint, the guy pulled it out of a skip in London and sold to someone in London who's got it on the rd after repainting and making it single speed.
Will try to post pics again if not will stick it on Fb market place.
If not sold I will out carbon forks on it and new shifters/gears and ride it again.

Load pics to photobucket/flickr or the like, grab the photo address/link then post on here using the Img button to enclose the link which will then add the pics directly or at the very least place the links in the body of the message for people to click on.

IF you can crop the photos to less than 256kb then you can post them direct just click on the 'Attachments' tab below the text box, click 'add files', move your cursor to the end of your text and then after choosing the file click 'place inline'
should allow folk to see the pic easily enough.

If you email them to me I will post them if you want. It may well be easier than trying to explain how to do it.
