See The Reviews
Cycling Plus magazine awarded Very Important Bike status to our latest and best Spitfire yet back in March 2013. And it's been firmly placed in Procycling magazine's Wish List of "the world's best cycling kit"; since May 2012. For us, Spitfire III is the culmination of everything we've learnt about what makes a road bike perfect for performing and racing over epic miles. Spitfire is engineered with classic Grand Tour geometries and specifications to suit.
"Metal Masterpiec" - Cycling Plus Magazine
Spitfire III looks and rides like no other race bike. The semi-compact main triangle is engineered for performance. It's fabricated with superlight, oversized, thin-wall top and down tubes that achieve their strength and torsional stiffness thanks to our most advanced geometrical tube profiling. The result is a bike that's seriously racing light. It has the sure-footed, precise handling and all the stiffness you need but none of the stiffness that you don't: that's the stiffness that transmits road shock and buzz straight up into your arms, shoulders and backside. On the Spit, these get filtered out leaving you fresher than the competition when it counts. At the finish line.
SpitFire!
The Spitfire III is crafted entirely from our stiffest, lightest race-tuned custom 3Al2.5V Ti Mk III tube set with size-specific race-biased road geometries. Fabricated entirely by hand, finished with fanatical attention to detail and packed with features that were born out of and refined through a lifetime of riding. They're the small details that enhance the form and function of your bike, and ultimately transform your outright pleasure in ownership.

Damn. I LOOKED and now I can't stop wondering how much I could recoup by selling on the Rotor cranks system.....

It is lovely - and compared with the competition at that price point not actually expensive. GLWS.

Hi nice looking bike hope you don't mind a couple of questions as follows

Looking at the seat height & stem length is the frame definitely a 54cm( centre of bottom to top of top tube ) also length of top tube c to c.

Was the bike first purchased in 2013 as stated

I am sorry but I have to ask has the bike been involved in a front end collision the reason I ask is replacement forks & new front rim

Many thanks Richard

Hi Richard sorry for the delay in reply I hope this answers your questions; read on.

I've made a mistake with the rotor cost it was as you can see on the box picture £1,449.00

The original sales receipt states 54cm frame size. I've measured it for you and it is 50cm C-C seat tube and 53cm C-T. it has a slightly sloping top tube so it may be classed as a 54cm although it doesn't measure as this. the top tube is C-C 55cm. Yes, 2013 although the upgrade followed on later.

regarding the front wheel/forks, firstly the bicycle has never been in an accident or crash.

What happened with the front wheel and forks was as follows; The wheel pulsated one day when I pulled the front brake while out on a ride. On inspection, the rim had bellied. I contacted Spin over this matter and they requested evidence so I sent them a video of the rim moving through a set of digital callipers at this point, they explained that I must retire the rim. I still have this video as evidence of this which you are welcome to view if you want.

They also advised me (as they saw the folk in the video) that the Spin fork was not actually the best for handling and I think (if I can find the email) something along the lines of they had got the rake wrong on the first run of there folks. They suggested that if the fork was replaced the bike would handle and feel better, so I went along with this and purchased the Enve road 2 fork Currently (£400.00 to buy) which I bought from Spin. I have all the receipts to back this up for you. I noticed that when with the old forks if I took my hands off the handlebars it would be difficult to hold the bike straight " a bit twitchy if you like" the enve completely solved this issues and I felt that their advice was therefore not BS regarding this matter.

I've attached a few images of the original fork from when I removed from the bicycle to sell to recoup some of the costs to offset against the cost of the new fork, as you can see it is in mint condition.

please rest assured this is a great bicycle in great condition.

Any other questions get back to me.
