Gitane Concorde GT classic folding bike 46cm (Leics)

Postby marcycle » 2 Feb 2019, 12:06pm

Gitane Concorde GT 1980 classic folding bike. Upgraded to 7 speed derailleur with a Shimano grip/rev shift index gear. The tyre size is 37-540 / 24" x 1 3/8" which is the same size as wheelchairs so easily obtainable from mobility shop if not in your bike shop. The wheels have been rebuilt from the original and highly dangerous in wet weather chrome plated rims onto alloy ones to improve the brakes, which are side-pull with Tektro levers. Has integrated dynamo lighting which someone once commented Gosh that's bright. One hinge and clamp bolt above the bottom bracket. Pump and rear rack, bag.LE12 9TU.
Price is 'open to offers' - this is a very rare bike, e.g. restored one in Paris shop at €400.

Location, yes, a good point. I am adding the Loughborough postcode, which is unfortunately not very local for you.

Yes. It's a bike I feel more secure on e.g.in snow than my mountain bike. And good to know someone approves the price too, which is hard to determine. Thanks

Just a point re the tyres you can get good quality solids in that size so you could have puncture free riding as well .

What size range do you reckon it would fit ?

Didn't know that.
Do you mean what size rider? I am 5ft 9in and fits me fine. Seat post would go up a bit more.
