Re: V21" Men's Dawes Super Galaxy
Colour/parts/memory suggests it is a 1980's version (Suntour Cyclone gears definately 1980's).
Nothing wrong with that, a good bike at a very good price, with the better butted 531 main tubes rather than plain guage 531.
Should be a good bike for someone! (too small for me).

IIRC they started making that type in the late 1970s. The brake calipers (weinmann centre pulls) and hubs (Normandy large flange) will have date marks on them. My guess is about 1981, certainly no earlier because IIRC the 'small oval head badge' (with just dawes writ upon it) came in in 1981.
catalogue from the early 1980s here;

in which the SG has the same paint job but different parts fitted. This super galaxy is older

and has the TA chainset and the 'round' head badge. In some years the TA chainset was a triple and in others a double.
You seem to have 'cyclone MkI' derailleurs fitted. These will also be date marked. This again places the bike no later than about 1985 because cyclone MkI were current from the mid '70s to about 1985
cheers
