Interesting 1970's Italian bike. NOW SOLD

Postby PT1029 » 30 Jul 2020, 5:03pm

Now sold.
A donation to a key workers project - bikes donated, repaired and given free to a key worker.
Project details here :- https://www.activeoxfordshire.org/bikes-for-keyworkers

This one it a bit left field for passing on, so is being sold for funds for the project. It probably isn't worth a great deal, but it's too good/odd/interesting to send to the baked bean factory in the sky. Shimano Eagle gears date it to mid/late 1970's. It has a splined/cottered LH crank/axle (just like Shimano Hollotech 2, but I digress....). The LH crank appears to tighten up, despite wear on the splines (axle splines look OK).
Blue Forelli, 23 3/4"/59cm. Steel frame (nothing light/fancy).
TTT stem, Shimano eagle r gear, Shimano Altus (1970's verion) F gear, Shimano screw on hubs, 27" tyres (as marked in the runner side wall), excellent condition white Blumels mudguards (but 1 stay missing), Balilla center pull brakes, lever rubbers fine/pliable. Seat post/handle bar stem not sidzed.
Half stays/fork chrome rather scruffy/rust.
Any offers for purchase, or clues to value welcome.
Available for collection/cash only from OX1 post code (just outside Oxford). Cash on collection please.
