Condor 531ST 57cm

Postby 220kestrel » 23 Sep 2020, 2:22pm

Beautiful condition with near perfect purple paint.
1985 model that was refinished and upgraded by Condor in 2007 (receipts) and has seen very little use since then.
ST 57cm cc, TT 57cm CC, HT 15cm. Campag headset.
Fab wheels, perfect for touring and in fab condition. Chorus hubs, Open Pro rims,36 SS DB spokes, true and smooth.
TA Carmina chainset...46/36/26 on 175mm arms, lovely.
Frog leg brakes.
Campag running gear. Chorus long cage, carbon rear mech. Centaur front.
10 speed 12/26 cassette using Shimano friction down tube shifters.
Quality finishing components.
All works properly. Beautiful bike.
Collection only from Lincoln.
Any questions or further photos needed then get in touch.
Now looking for £400 before I split the bike and sell the parts.
Cheers.

To coin a phrase, what an absolute stunner. Admittedly I haven’t seen it up close but given the component choice I’d say this is very well priced.

A shame you can’t offer to have it packed and couriered (perhaps a bike shop could offer that service?)

I think he'd sell it no problem if courier was an option. Seems a real shame to brake it or put it on eBay.

This lovely bike would probably sell more easily if I offered courier.
I believe the quality is such that it will sell given time.
I don't have the inclination to pack it up with the associated risks.
Thank you for your comments.

Regrettably, no matter how many times or how often I look at this, it's a full size too big for me.

Given it's components, frame and geometry, this is a real gem.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I thought I could actually ride it.

You state it is a 10 speed cassette.Does this mean there are 10 options on cassette making 30 gears overall, given you have a triple?

If you decide to split I'd like first dibs on the long cage rear derailleur.
