This began life as a GT Peace single speed bike and a Rohloff SpeedHub 500/14 was fitted about five years ago since then the bike has travelled around 1500 miles. An Shimano Octolink eccentric BB was fitted too which makes chain adjustment a breeze.
It comes with a Tubus rear rack, Schwalbe Airmotion tyres and three bottle cages. The front hub is an XT and the rims are Sputniks with stainless spokes.
The saddle is a Brooks All Terrain on a suspension seat post and the bike is very comfortable to ride.
I have the Rohloff service kit with enough oil to last years and the Rohloff manuals. Also included are three extra tyres: all Halo Twin Rail one unused and two very lightly used for off road use.
The frame is large I’m 6’0” and it’s fine for me. It needs nothing done to it.
I bought this bike on this forum a year ago from Greybeard. It’s been totally dependable but it must go, I’ve just bought a collection of three bikes and I’m running out of room! Collection from Surbiton KT6.
I’m asking £895 which I think is reasonable considering how much has been spent on the bike.

Hi , the GT still up for sale during the lockdown or has it been sold . Not mentioned in advert if it is a Alu or steel frame ? I am 60 years old and was 5' 11" tall but now shorter but legs are still the same .Could you tell me your inside leg measurement from crotch to floor because I normally on compact geometry ride medium rather than large frames .Also how many miles approx or age is the rear hub ? Sorry if I ask to many questions .With regards and thanks , Chris

Hi Chris
Yes it’s still for sale, the frame is aluminium and my inside leg trouser measurement is 31” so add say 1” to that to get crotch to floor measurement? You’ll see from the photo that there is plenty of scope to drop the saddle. The Rohloff is about five years old and has done about 1500 miles in total. 946 with the previous owner and I’ve probably done 500 miles on it.
I’m selling it because although it’s a thing of beauty and a lovely bike to have I’m past the n+1 and I no longer have room.

Hi John ,thanks for answering my questions but I think after looking online at the frame geometry etc the frame is to long & tall for me(i prefer smaller frames) . Thanks again for your help and I hope you get a sale soon .I am curious what make are the x3 bikes you have purchased are that have filled your shed or garage? With regards.Chris .

£850 accepted for this lovely Rohloff equipped bike. Please note I’ve just seen an error in my description- the frame is steel not aluminium.
This must surely be a good price. I paid £950 for this a year ago.
