Coming home this evening in the dark, I was nearly wiped out when a couple of cars joined the road I was on from a slip road without giving way. Hard braking required to avoid being side swiped by them (the outside lane had a car in it).
I had road legal front & rear lights/reflectors, but I confess to wearing neither hi-vis nor a plastic hat.
Oh, forgot to say, I was driving my car at the time

Had I been to Wickes, something like a pick axe helve would have been more than adequate.
