For all discussions about this "lively" subject. All topics that are substantially about helmet usage will be moved here.

Do you know how dangerous beds are - more people die in bed than anywhere else...
A shortcut has to be a challenge, otherwise it would just be the way. No situation is so dire that panic cannot make it worse.
There are two kinds of people in this world: those can extrapolate from incomplete data.

Suppose when the major at risk group for head injuries, pedestrians, start to wear them i might consider it .... might.

Wasn't there a case involving an elderly gentleman who didn't wear a helmet at night? Apparently he went to bed and bumped his head, and couldn't get up in the morning.

You get used to it, same as most of us got used to feeling weighed down by them, having grown up riding normally.

I feel (and am) safer without a helmet - why would I want to wear one?

Mine (from Aldi) has a fairly broad mesh under the vents so wasps etc. can't get in.

Just got one through the post which has mesh, but XC type so more for stones :?

Helmets have never been proven to save lives. One would have to have the same accident under the exact
same conditions to prove whether a helmet would have saved someone.
