I should have been wearing my helmet.
Banged my head, and it was bleeding ............. and now I have a plaster on it.
Not cycling, but I left the shed door open and walked into it.
I should have been wearing my helmet

The shed's fault for being insufficiently conspicuous.

Australian police will be round right away to prove the shed door was insufficiently lit.

Sheds eh?
You just can't trust 'em,you erect 'em with loving care, and all they do is turn around when you're not looking and attack you when you're not ready
It's disgraceful what theyre allowed to get away with

Mrs Mick F has just changed the dressing. It's still bleeding a bit though doesn't need stitches.
This is the good thing about being completely and totally bald. I can have a plaster on the top of my head and have it peeled off without pulling hairs!

Re: I should have been wearing my helmet
Can I offer some personal advice?
Re: I should have been wearing my helmet
It wasn't that I wasn't watching what I was doing, it was that there was a wind blowing, and it moved the door just as I got to it.
The thing is, I've been turning the cranks for 60+ years and never hit or hurt my head, but I've banged my head getting in and out of a car, I've fallen in the bathroom, knocked my head on low beams and overhanging trees, and on walls, furniture and various things .................. but never when cycling.
You'll all be pleased to know that the cut on my head is healing up nicely.

Low beams in pubs, and changing from bright light outside to a cosy dark interior ...... classic reason for wearing a drinking helmet
