Hi

Wondering what people think of folding bike helmets ?

I've looked at a number and i'm settling on the Fend:

https://fend.io/

Seems like an elegant design and folds by about 50%
I like the vent proportions. I've heard supply can be a bit patchy as it's a start up - but seems improved in it's 2nd year.

I also like the Cairbull Find, but i can't find anything on it at all:
http://www.cairbullsport.com/helmets/69-en.html

I've considered and rejected:
Morpher, which folds flat but this vid has put me off:

Overade Plixi, because i wondered about the capactiy of the axles/ joints to survive a hit:

Others i rejected:
Brooks / Carerra
Closca / Fuga
Ftiier
Anything else still in development.

Advice and comments welcome...
cheers

I think they're probably at least as useless as rigid ones.

Made of paper and folds small enough to fit in a jersey pocket, whilst meeting the same standard of protection as a typical cycle helmet. Sounds ideal for conscientious objectors. Not yet available.

I wouldn’t touch most helmets on the market with a barge pole, this folding one even more so. I’ve found out through trial, and ( painful ) error which ones do the job, I’ll stick with what I know.

oh - and which ones do the job ? :?:

This is for light urban cycling on flats.

I've come across the eco helmet - not sure it would fair well in London rain...
