Family campsites in Europe: readers’ tips - The Guardian
One strange one - paying to sleep under the stars
Lignano, Friuli
"On a drive through Europe last summer, we stayed at Camping Sabbiadoro, next to the beach, and shaded by trees. It was glorious. We had a tent but mostly slept under the sky as the weather was perfect. The proximity to the beach was excellent, as well as the buzzing surrounding area!

Clearly Guardian readers have a differnt idea what to spend money on than me

Re: Family campsites in Europe: readers’ tips
While watching a YouTube clip about walking I saw the phrase "hike your own hike." It was used in the context of make your own choices and do things your way. Other people can do things differently and both can stil be valid.
So if the article represents something different then so be it.

Got to be better than sleeping in a collapsible coffin like a lot of cycletourers I've come across

It may well be a Left-wing-Socialist paper but they certainly are not writing for the masses.
You clearly lack the pretentious gene that is required to be a true Guardianista.
