Thanks for the recommendation! I took a punt on a couple, and we took them on tour to France last week.. bloody brilliant.. hold a good amount of liquid, well insulated, cheap, makes as good a cuppa as with my Aeropress at home.. doubles as a hefty beaker for wine in the evening..

How much does it weight? Just wondering.
It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best,
since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them.
Thus you remember them as they actually are...

I was reading this while boiling the kettle ;) so… 186g on my scales.

Sorely tempted as a serious coffee head but desperately need to avoid duplication in my camping gear so i'll stick to the small bialetti and ground espresso.

Sounds good, an AeroPress or the ubiquitous Bialetti (for the proper) do a very good job but it's one more item to carry.
This Zyliss one sounds a no-brainer thing, it's all in one and it's not too heavy. 8)

More loyalty to your home territory gatto :)

The bialetti scores on fast production/consumption of that vital coffee hit on mid ride stops behind british churches.

The ideal combo - italian coffee and retro engineering expertise and a now godless blighty which means you are very unlikely to encounter folk/priests on these stops.

The zyliss would add to my bulk as my espresso cup fits inside my tea/beer/wine cup which fits inside my small pan/kettle.

I have one and it makes a fine cafetiere coffee, but like all such things it really needs running water to rinse it through after use. I camp off site as much as on so prefer to use a plastic V60 dripper and paper filters, which with a bit of practice produces a better coffee (IMO of course!!)

ah, thanks for the tip PH.

The Bialetti by contrast just needs the used grounds blown out into a convenient bush.
