will do Andrew.

Though since I have a Thermarest it might not get the most intensive use.#

May use for a bivvy/camping trip in the autumn and in view of mercalia's caution not fold but just roll it.

If I took my old closed cell foam mat as well I could imagine the combo being super warm and comfy.

rolling didnt make any difference in my case - just it blowing up and evacuating was enough as it was the edges that took the damage - at the valve and along the edges. so good luck 8)

sounds like you got a particularly naff clarks chain deal there.

Maybe it was an individual fault and you should have just returned it.

Will report back on my experience with my mat.

dont think so - happened to the the replacement, its the cheap plasticky material that wont suffer creases or bends - since you have a thermarest compare the type of material used.
