Have a look at this thread
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=112938&p=1112950&hilit=luxe#p1112950

the Luxe Hex Peak is a pyramid style tent, very good value for money, and the bike would fit inside

Like all that type of tents, the maximum height is only at the center, but it's good nevertheless. the space vs weight ratio is very good, so is the flexibility: you can use the flysheet only and sleep two people plus one children or two people with lots of gear; or you can have a double inner nest, or use the inner nest on its own. Also very good in bad weather, that design spills out wind, rain and snow

What's with all the negative comments about wanting to keep the bike dry. :?
The O.P. never mentioned why he wants to keep his bike in the tent.
Maybe he wants to to hide the bike while he is away from the tent or some other reason ?
So positive comments or suggestions would be more helpful and appreciated.
You'll never know if you don't try it.

Interesting tent of yours upthread gatto but must admit to concerns about that pole and its positioning.

For middle of the night leak breaks.

And some of us brits who may indulge in a drink or two before retiring.

if you have a longer pole could you angle it?

looks an interesting tent , the Luxe Hex Peak

a better soln than the tunnel tent you are considering in other thread?

shame it is so small

The outer really needs storm cuffs like on my Kelty ridge type tarp tend, then could use just the outer

Kind of you to ask mercalia but i prefer to exit fully from the tent for my nocturnal toilet trips.

hmm a joke I take it. I am serious about the pole though as once the cover is on it could be pushed to the side a bit ?

Hi,

Going to leave this here without any comment ;-)

Personally, I can't ever see a reason to have a bike in the tent with me

yes a joke mercalia but if you WILL feed me those max miller lines :)

I don't think your pole suggestion is wise from an engineering/design point of view to be honest.

Re the comments about it being better than the ionosphere, they are totally different sorts of tents - I wouldn't be trying to stealth camp in the open in something that looked like a teepee.

And I won't be planning to slot a bike into the ionospehere.

all the best.

I'm a trendy consumer. Just look at my wobbly using hovercraft full of eels.

I'm slightly aghast that so many people seem happy to just leave their pride & joy outside, especially given the fact that the weight of a serious lock pretty much precludes carrying anything other than a minor deterrent. Of course I don't know whether security is the OP's motivation, but it's certainly high on my agenda when leaving my very expensive, very nickable and kinda essential for tomorrow bicycle anywhere for any length of time.

I definitely sleep better when it's in sight, within touching distance and preferably shackled to my ankle [emoji6]

You could set the sleeping area slightly sideways?
Carry a wee-bottle (as I do)?

Is 130cm apex and 250cm long a small tent? Yes, it slopes a lot more than a traditional tunnel tent, but it's a lot more stable and gives even floor space, in fact a lot of space for keeping the whole bike inside and not feeling cramped as well.
And if not enough, they do a bigger version too
300x340cm and 160cm height, I think it's enough for one person!

20D fabric with 1500mm HH, plus a square shape means "dry summer time only". That thing won't stay up in winds, and water will pool on the top.

:)

Love that pic. Probably not the best place to freecamp. Hardly discreet and if a driver, doubtless admiring the square tent, gets distracted on that bend ...

Feel free to recommend a wee bottle, though fear I would come to grief with it.
