Kev
I think that's his point?

If you zoom in, it's by the lake on the left. :D

So I'm looking to replace it.

Is this any good?

I'm not familiar with the tent, but it looks fine, if you're looking for a small tent. Do you like the foot print? That's probably the biggest thing with a small one-person tent.

Indeed. We made absolutely no attempt to conceal a large item made in a conspicuous colour, and it's still easy to lose it in a completely clear landscape if you don't know where to look. So if thinking you need a brown or green tent to blend in, it's worth bearing in mind that in a lot of places the blending in will actually take care of itself.
If you just don't like red, then that's a different matter!

Pete.

Andrew Park has an initial review of this tent on Youtube. He is impressed with the size of the porch and headroom seems OK. Not yet tested overnight.

Some stuff to muse over-

Interesting, thanks.

Puts the tent in my garden in its place - Gelert Solo (2011-ish?) paid about £30! Survived the night at 2'c, but had a lot of bag/clothes/quilt...

It does lag behind most of those tents in several areas, I admit.

I used a gelert solo for a number of years. I liked it but you couldn’t sit up in it. An increasing problem with the passing of the years. Really little more than a bivvy with some storage - but had to keep the backpack outside.

Looks a very nice spot John!

(without any bodies for scale, the tent could be 1 or 2m tall in the picture; but as you say, in reality it's too small for average adult male to sit-up in. I'm not even taking any cooking gear this weekend, so you can tell I plan to be mostly riding my bike, not sitting in/round my tent.
N tried it out on a recent sunny evening - annoyingly she CAN sit up in it!)

Inverie Bay, Loch Nevis, Knoydart looking toward the Rum Cuillins.

I realised just as I posted that there was no context to show height.
