Just back yesterday from a cycle tour with tent. Will post route and campsite information later for those who may be interested. Enjoyed very much.

I hope you enjoyed your tour.
How did you find campsite facilities at the sites you stayed on - washrooms, camp kitchens etc. Were they strictly controlled for time slots etc for each family group - or is that not happening? Was there a lot of extra cleaning going on?

just the two of us

Scottish schools not on holiday until tomorrow, so as ex-teachers we had timed the tour so that we had little chance of meeting children

campsites all good, the one and Kintore felt a bit run down, but fine for an overnight

Turrif was great, great warden also Blair Atholl have a cycle tourist/backpacker rate and very well organised and Pillars of Hercules have a rate of £5 per night per person and a wee area set aside for just cycle tourist/backpackers, wish more would do that!!

Facilities fine were all quiet and clean

apparently sites are mobbed at weekends and I suspect will be busy from Friday though to the end of August

we'll stick to day touring and our other love hillwalking until the rush reduces
