Daleview Caravan park, Middleton in Teesdale

Post by Spen »

Has anyone stayed at Daleview in Middleton in Teesdale. It's on the Pennine Way and their web site quotes a back packer rate but it's not clear if you have to book or can simply arrive on the day without booking?

No experience of it but it’s unusual if backpackers book.
Site nearby Highside, adults only, sounds better. Walkers £10 which I would assume cyclists too.

I looked at Highside but they say they only have 4 tent pitches so chances of getting on there seem thin

Is there any reason not to phone both sites and ask?

You could post that question in EVERY campsite related thread.

I've stayed there but pre-pandemic. It was weird (especially the club) but ok. Didn't book, just rocked up.

Leekworth is a much nicer site, but busy. They do require booking, but if you give them a call and explain you're on a bike and have a tiny tent, they'll usually get you in.
