Re: 'Nearly wild' campsites
Access to every lake in Scotland is enshrined in the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and wild camping is enshrined within that code. There are some overpopulated areas by some of the lakes where a permit is required. For example, Loch Lomond National Park restricts wild camping in an area that covers 4% of the parks total area. Besides, wild camping is in essence about getting away from it all, not because you’re skint.
