Pictures of your tents.

Post by Edwards »

I love to see pictures of where other's have camped, especially if there is a bike in the picture as well.

Sorry I have not got one to post yet but as soon as I find the file on the camera I will do so.

Derbyshire's finest, on the left my TN Solar 2.2 on the right a friends TN Voyager XL
A few weeks ago on an overnighter to Redmile Nr Grantham, showing you don't need to go far or have much of an excuse to go camping :D

The same two tents, a little further afield at the Crask Inn in the Highlands, not a campsite as such, we only stopped for pint and ended up camped on the lawn.

One day I'll work out how to upload decent size pictures!

BTW, I stayed at the Crask last year and during dinner they were butchering deer on the kitchen table with a hacksaw....

This is the set up I started to use a couple of years ago.

It is a Gelert Solo which cost about £25 and weighs 1.5kg.

Normally I only go camping in the summer to the Yorkshire Dales when the weather looks reasonable and although not the best tent in terms of quality it suits me fine. I have now changed the steel pegs for some aluminum ones I had from a previous tent. In addition I use a cheap (£1) fishing rod from Poundland as an extra pole for the door to use it as a porch, rather than tying it directly to the crossbar of the bike as shown.

Clearly it does not have a great deal of room but I can manage and it makes you look carefully at how much kit you take. The empty panniers usually stay outside overnight in a large poly bag.

Mi Vango, complete with interloper.

Just noticed that virtually all of my camping pictures are taken from inside the tent looking out so no others wit the tent itself in the pic!
