Force Ten. That cam from the original Force Ten tents. They WERE bombproof. It the late 80's I was camping in the Cairngorms, somewhere up behind Ben Macdui. We had three Force Tens and a Peapod (Saunders?). That night we got hit by a storm with enormous winds and buckets of sideways rain. The guys in the smallest FT got worried their tent was going to collapse, so one got in the peapod with me and my mate, the other into another FT. The wind was hitting our camp side on, bending the peapod into a wave shape. We didn't sleep much, especially when the water began to fill the tent from below. After about four hours we had had enough and decided to break camp and retreat. Imagine our surprise when on opening the door, the little FT was still there, happy as Larry with doors billowing but completely unharmed.

Not sure modern Force Tens will manage and hope you don't have to find out!

Peapods were made by Ultimate IIRC.

The original was the Vango Force 10, i.e., a model range. These days F10 is Vango's premium brand with a whole arrayof models, some of which emphasise being very light so will certainly not take the same beating as a F10 "Classic" (still available from F10, see https://www.force-ten.co.uk/gb/blog/14_force-ten-classic-tents.html). Having said that, something like the current XPD3 ought to be properly bomber, and is less towards the "ideal for an expedition with porters and pack-animals" end of the weight/bulk spectrum.
I've spent a lot of time in F10 Classics over the years, and they are great tents. As long as you're not carrying them far...

Another X2 still going strong at The Hague. Uke and everything in tow this time. The lightweight picnic rug is a godsend on wet grass. Basically made of the same material as a backpacking tent groundsheet.
