2008 Helsport Fjellheimen Camp 3. Breakfast yesterday at the DNT "campsite" at Finse on the Rallarvegen.

Of course it decided to rain just before we broke camp.

It was a short Brompton tour, Haugastøl to Finse on Friday evening, Finse to Flåm on the Saturday. The Fjellheimen is perfect for Brompton touring as it has a very small pack volume, very short poles and a vestibule big enough to take both bikes (when folded) and all our luggage.

This is my current setup; pic somewhere in Turkey.

Vango Apex 200 tent. Now on its last legs :-( after 630 consecutive nights :-) Has endured searing heat and sun in N.Africa, torrential storms in the Balkans, -plenty temperatures in central Turkey and attentions of drunk shepherd in Sardinia.

Morewood Shova FS bike with BoB trailer

PS See my ad - WANTED: Vango Apex 200 tent in this forum.

Sligachan it is indeed Feefee, I love the way the mountain and the tent echo each other's shape.

O now you mention it....! Really nice tent. I'm aiming for that midge fest myself this summer......

For the many times I've ever been in Skye, I've never been into the Sligachan. My family are from Sleat; all of my drinking was done there! My granny (native Gaelic speaker) pronounced it Shleegachan - few pints required before attempting makes it much easier!
