Cycle on-line: why horrible flash based page now

On-line Cycle magazine has been changed from a simple pdf to a horrible flash based page of a partial magazine subset only:
surely flash is a bad idea, its always having security problems? Flash is surely obsolete with HTML5 available?
Surely even a simple pdf partial magazine would be better for all?
