How can we make the CTC better?

Post by Philip Benstead »

How can we make the CTC better?

How do you think the CTC can be improved in terms of the following?

Appointment of councillor/trustee?

Development of CTC members so they can progress onto the CTC council?

How to make the CTC more open to its members and the wider world?

How to support and develop local members’ groups?

The process of developing policy?

The process of developing procedures?

Communication with it members?

Communication with the wider world?

I think that to work out "how to make it better" one first needs to identify what it should be. People here seem to want and/or tolerate different things from the Club.

So, were I to say how I thought it could be better, others would disagree as they think it should be something different. So to make it better at what it does one first needs to identify "what it does". And I suspect that not only do members and ex-members have differing thoughts on that but also that Councillors have differing thoughts from the (senior) employees (hence what seems to be a bit of a power struggle between Councillors and employees, employees wanting more power and control over what the organisation is).
