Hi,
I'm looking to send in my vote. I need to nominate a proxy so that all other items do not become additional chairman votes.
Anyone going?

Proxy vote
If I had a baby elephant, it would point out that there is no evidence for planing. Then it would eat all my bananas.
Re: Proxy vote
I think I noticed a new online option for the AGM motions which is a step forward.

WHAT CAN YOU DO?
Go to AGM 2016 If you are unable to go your voting paper is on the back of the address label of the Cycle magazine.
You can appoint me as your proxy.
REMEMBER DO NOT LEAVE BOX 2b blank that will be giving your vote to the chair.
MY NAME IS PHILIP BENSTEAD
IF YOU VOTE BY POST
Vote NO for the following motions 1, 2, 3, 5 This will fire a shoot across the blow of the CTC council
Vote YES for motions 4, 6,7,8,9,10,11,12 These motions aim is to increase accountability
Vote as you please for motions 13 to 17

Re: Proxy vote
Why would you not give your proxy vote to the Chairman?
Is it not the case that if you choose the Chair to be your proxy, he/she must use the votes as instructed by you?
It is, I believe, only if you give your proxy no specific instruction that they will use their own discretion in placing the vote.

it sends a signal to the chair and the council if a ctc member say at the AGM that they are voting on behalf a large number of ctc members, i am just offering my self, you can choice who you like. i just do not want the chair to have a load of free votes.

Can you nominate a proxy for matters arising?

There will only be votes on items that appear on the agenda, Article 9.3
9.3 No business shall be transacted at a General Meeting other than that specified in the Agenda thereof;
There'll be tarmac over, the white cliffs of Dover ...
