I found these figures interesting, there has been a slight increase compared to the average turnout on most previous contested election from 3 to 5 % (excluding 2015).

Yes, but what are they going to do when they are in office?
We know how keen they are to 'get Britain cycling', which is an absolutely laudable aspiration as part of a quest to make Britain a better and safer place.
However, the issue for me is that currently, in so many places (including where I cycle) to encourage new cyclists is to bring them into a life threatening environment - roads are mighty dangerous and there needs to be a real change - and about-turn - in the minds of planners, highway engineers, local councillors and others of the decision making fraternity to acknowledge cyclists as valid human beings whose lives matter.
What ideas do they have for contributing meaningfully and effectively for our safety by using influence on government?
