Post by landsurfer »

I have just tried to renew my membership.

A few thoughts, nothing more since I'm on DD renewal and have not experienced the on-line system.

Usernames and log in details for the CTC website are independent of those for this forum.

The CTC website allows you to log in with either your username and password or your e-mail and password. Log in with your username and password and then check the e-mail address is the one you think it should be. Alternatively log in with your e-mail and password and see if the username is the one you expected.

If everything checks out I'm at a loss, contact National Office.

Maybe you've been banned. If the CTC Thought Police have not pre-approved your membership then I doubt you'll be allowed in. Have you sworn never-ending loyalty to the Executive and promised to never utter any criticism of their antics ? There is an official form (probably).

And when you contacted the membership office about these issues what was their response ?

See the signature on my posts.. it tells the story .... but the 3 calls to membership where unanswered ... I have a 5 minute tolerance with being on hold ... possibly unreasonable, but works for me.
Now a fully paid up member of CTC Ltd.

The main Cycling UK website has a check to see if someone is registering a username that is already in use for the Forum, but with a different email address than that used for the Forum. The longer-term aim being to merge the two user lists so both sites share the same logins: this will be a lot easier if there aren't any instances of two different people using the same username.

You should be able to register for the main Cycling UK site with the same username and email address as you've used for this Forum.
