https://www.cyclinguk.org/sites/default ... _pages.pdf

Page 70 has the total salary costs for all staff, and a breakdown according to job function, and page 71 covers salaries of staff who earn more than £60k.

Thanks for that :)

Was that the same 'Regulator' who appeared on cycle chat forum...shudder. What an obnoxious bit of work that name was on the 'other site'.

I have no view on this discussion since I am a recent member.

That's right. The Charity Commission can remove charitable status, but "the government" can't.

Ultimately, of course, the Charity Commission acts to enforce charity law and the government could change the law. But the new law would then apply to everyone equally: the government can't pick on an individual charity and remove its status.

Likewise the government can't take away a specific charity's tax exemptions just because it doesn't like what the charity says.

But they could fail to give grants or contracts for work.

No doubt. But the post was that government can't remove charitable status.
