I wonder how many CTC members have read any or all the Annual report
https://www.cyclinguk.org/policies-and- ... /annual-re
I am unable to read it without producing eye strain
I know I have cataracts now, but even before I had them, I found that the modern trend to go away from the traditional method of print media presentation and to that of using
multi-layer colours
use of fine font in silver
pastoral colour instead of primary colour
use Aof colour backgrounds that merge with overlaying font /images
Disconnect blocks of test that do not relate to anything.
Overuse of images and photographs in terms of size and location
Created barriers to the transferance of information, given the avage age of members this could be considered discriminatory.
Many, if not all these comments could be attributed to “CYCLE” and the website.
In the case of electronic media, the white background produces glare, IMHO a silver /grey background and of BLACK font is good combination.
I will be submitting a motion on this subject to the next AGM

Re: Annual Report 2021 etc
I think the link above may have got shortened?
https://www.cyclinguk.org/sites/default ... ages_1.pdf
Above is a different link to (I hope) the same annual report that may work better.
Some of the text - for example white on sky blue (page 14) and white on orange (page 16) has quite low luminance contrast between text and background and could be made easier to read for all readers.
There are lots of resources / guidelines out there about making printed and on screen documents as legible as possible. This one https://colorusage.arc.nasa.gov/legib_1.php
shows it’s not really rocket science.

Re: Annual Report 2021 etc
Have they produced a large print or high contrast version as part of disability access? Perhaps you could request such a version and, if you receive a unhelpful reply, forward it to the charity commission?
Re: Annual Report 2021 etc
Just noticed this thread is a continuance of another thread, perhaps the administrators could merge the two?
