My bike carries "proper" badges, - the "modern" design.

Reading this thread reminded me that I had a CTC mudguard sticker languishing in a drawer somewhere, so I dug it out on Sunday and stuck it on the back mudguard of my hub gear commuter, as it was too wide for the one on my best bike. I did not just slap it on, I first cleaned the area with meths and dried it, then took good care to place it and smooth it on over the curvature of the mudguard from the middle outwards, thus avoiding any bubbles or wrinkles. By Monday afternoon it had gone all wrinkled

Bad luck Niggle. Frustrating!

I won't ask whether it was Winged Wheel or "modern" logo type, lest anyone (myself included  ) tries to draw any conclusions as to the suitability!

Seeing as you are not asking I will not tell you that it is a "modern" one

I have also just joined Audax UK, and the two stickers they sent in a classic design look great on either side of the top tube of my Genesis Equilibrium, no wrinkling at all :D

Niggle could the wrinkling be to match the age of most CTC members and thus fit in with them?

I've also seen ones that say "My other car is a bicycle".

New members get mudguard stickers in the membership package, so I would suppose (as others said) that they are available from Head Office.

Oh no they don't. I joined CTC in 2009 and didn't get any stickers.

The definitive bumper sticker for those of us who ride bikes is available at modest cost from a guy in the US (last time I looked I think a pack of six was well under $10 including shipping to the UK), but alas, I can neither link to it nor quote the message on this kiddie-friendly forum 8)

In that case the AUK stickers should be equally afflicted

Ask them for a proper CTC badge - i.e. Winged Wheel. See what they say.

24 hours from head office, they were at the end of a run but have sent me two in the post.
I didn't ask about the winged wheel though.

I know us young uns just getting towards 60.

Console yourself that my right knee is worn for somebody about 150, totally knackered.

PS I really like the Winged Wheel

That's interesting - I'm 68 and my right knee is certainly making it's presence felt. I don't think mine was new when I got it - you couldn't get the parts in wartime.

Straight answer please - do CTC still supply and sell mudguard stickers with its logo, and if so, how do I get my hands on one?

It appears that ever since Wriggle took over the merchanding, the stickers are nowhere to be seen.

Thanks
